We meet some of the characters and learn that they have some behind-the-scenes drama going on. We are then introduced to an interesting mechanism that will drive the remainder of the film. At this point I thought I was in for something really special. What I hadn’t realized was that there were some issues that would hinder the shooting of the film. First, it will become very confusing. I don’t want to go into details because it would spoil the premise of the movie. But anyone who watches this movie will understand pretty quickly what I’m talking about when I talk about ambiguity. I will say that while the middle of the film is very confusing, it clears up and becomes a bit more coherent towards the end. You still have to have your wits about you at all times, though, that’s for sure.The other problems are related to the characters. There are a lot of them and they are very toxic people who are difficult to care for and get along with. I really feel like the movie could have easily cut out 2-3 characters and nothing would have been lost. And as far as being toxic, I get that it makes for juicier drama, but sacrificing likability is a big deal. All negatives aside, there are some really good things here. If you can keep up with the story and keep up with all the story/character arcs, you might be in for a really good time because this one has some nice gimmicks at the end of it. It was a massive undertaking to make a film of this difficult undertaking, and overall they did a pretty good job. 6/10.. No need to waste time endlessly scrolling, here’s the full lineup of new movies and TV shows streaming on Netflix this month.
