Scenario

A retired CIA agent is haunted by both the agency he worked for and his own nightmares, when an unknown man suddenly visits him after nearly three decades. During that time, Jeff Bridges was diagnosed with and then treated for non-Hodgkins lymphoma.

After he recovered, the series went back into production. Bridges referred to the return as a comeback after a “long weekend” on a podcast in July 2022.

The Old Man is a spy thriller worth watching!

Jeff Bridges is as fantastic as ever and does an amazing job making you believe he’s still a jerk at 72 years old! His dogs steal every scene they’re in and remind me of John Wick’s dogs.

I’m looking forward to seeing more and I highly recommend it to anyone who is a fan of spy thrillers

The rest of the cast is also at the top of their game here too, especially John Lithgow (who rarely disappoints). I know there are a lot of really good spy shows out there to choose from, but this one has everything you want from a spy thriller and you should definitely check it out.
