For starters, he’s a good, solid serial killer

The series adaptation of James Patterson’s novel about the complicated and brilliant detective, Alex Hodge, is the third actor to play Cross, following Morgan Freeman, who first played him on screen in 1997’s Kiss the Girls; in the 2001 sequel Along Came a Spider; and Tyler Perry as the title character in 2012’s Alex Cross, which bombed at the box office and forced Lionsgate to scrap its previously planned sequel Double Cross. show.

So I’ll get that out of the way

However, I think it’s the UK’s poor cousin, Luther with Idris Elba. Both he and Cross are considered to have extraordinary psychological analysis skills.

You get that with Luther

You can’t do that with Cross. There are only two times in 8 episodes where he does the full "Spideysense" work and provides analysis that others just don’t see.

And the final point is Iasiah Mustafa

There’s also the inconsistent acting from some of the main cast. Their scenes just don’t live up to the great acting from the main characters.

Enjoyable show, but I think Luther does it better

In this show, he’s the spitting image of Andy Farrell, the coach of the Irish rugby team. One is black and the other is white, but boy, is the resemblance uncanny!
