When Brett Goldstein, Jason Segel and Bill Lawrence were asked how they got Harrison Ford to join the show, Segel said that Goldstein initially wanted a “Harrison Ford type,” and would audition people who were similar to Ford. Segel told Goldstein that they should bring it to Ford first, thinking he would turn it down immediately, but at least other people would hear that Harrison Ford had brought the project, generating interest from other notable actors.

The acting was great

Eventually, Goldstein spoke to Ford and sold him the role. Goldstein still doesn’t understand what he did to convince him, but he was thrilled nonetheless… Featured in WatchMojo: Top 10 Best TV Shows of 2023 (So Far) (2023). This was a solid production and a very unique storyline.

Is it perfect?

I love how each character embraces their imperfections and shows vulnerability and uses humor to achieve spiritual growth. The Shrink has a lot of heartfelt moments, awkward moments, slightly funny sweet moments, and laugh-out-loud moments. I hope they keep making more seasons of this because the character development warrants it. ​​No.

But neither do any of us

I think the overuse of profanity takes away from the overall power potential here. It’s like the writers are forcibly making the show edgy. I personally don’t think it needs to be. That’s why I gave it an 8.

It’s definitely worth watching
